Agency Contracts and Best Value Partnerships

LPFA provides third party administration and similar services to other local authorities. These currently include pensions administration, pensions payroll, fund accounting and technical consulting as regards the Local Government Pension Scheme and the Firefighters Pension Scheme. In the main these result from success at competitive tender processes but we also have experience in providing short-term assistance and partnership arrangements on a less formal basis

Data cleansing

LPFA has significant experience in undertaking data cleansing plans and is able to offer a number of initiatives to help ensure that the data provided to your actuary meets actuarial tolerance levels for valuations and Cost Sharing Arrangements.

CLG, The Pensions Regulator and all the major Pensions Press are all now stressing the importance of good and continually improving data, the most recent example being the letter from CLG to all Chief Executives - (PDF 104KB - link opens in new window).

We are able to produce a comprehensive data cleaning programme tailored to your organisation or can run a number of checks to show data issues that may need to be addressed prior to the 2010 actuarial valuation process. We can also work with you to find innovative solutions to address any issues found or to carry out the programme on your behalf.
