www.london.gov.uk is the official website for the Mayor of London. The Mayor appoints the members of LPFA's Board. The Mayor sets the annual budget for five organisations; these organisations, which have become known as the 'GLA Group', comprise:
- the Greater London Authority; www.london.gov.uk
- Transport for London, www.tfl.gov.uk which provides bus, river and some light rail services, maintains London's main roads, regulates London's licensed taxi service and runs the Tube;
- the Metropolitan Police Authority, www.mpa.gov.uk which is responsible for maintaining an effective and efficient police service for London;
- the London Development Agency, www.lda.gov.uk which works with business to sustain and improve London's role as a business centre, while increasing economic opportunity for all Londoners;
- London Fire Brigade, www.london-fire.gov.uk which responds to fires and promotes fire prevention, under the oversight of London Fire and Emergency Planning Authority.
- The Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS) National (United Kingdom) Web Site
- Local Government Employers (LGE) works closely with the Local Government Association (LGA), local authorities, regional employers and other bodies to provide national leadership, representation and solutions on pay, pensions and employment issues in local government.
LGE provides the website for and on behalf of Local Government Pension Scheme Pension Funds, participating employers and their staff.
- Institutional Investors Group on Climate Change (IIGCC)
- The IIGCC is a forum for collaboration between pension funds and other institutional investors on issues related to climate change.

Information about Communities and Local Government's ministerial team, the Board and our agencies and non-departmental public bodies.

- Llaunched in April 2005 the Pensions Regulator replaces Opra (the Occupational Pensions Regulatory Authority) as the regulator of work-based pensions in the UK.

- The main website for the NAPF representing the interests of the occupational pensions movement
- Pensions Advisory Service
- An independant and voluntary organisation which offers free help and advice to members of the public
- The Pensions Ombudsman www.pensions-ombudsman.org.uk
- Investigates and decides complaints and disputes about the way that pension schemes are run.

- The Raising Standards of Pensions Administration project began in January 2002 as a voluntary initiative by the pensions profession and continues to operate on a voluntary basis to this day.
- The Employers' Organisation for local government
- Supports local authorities in their human resources role. They do this by providing expert advice and information on people management and development in local government, and leading the formulation of policy on some employer issues.
